THE SHED, new office-buildings at the Sonneninsel in Berlin, with Peikko DELTABEAM® and precast-connections

In Berlin rises a new office-building at the Sonnenallee. The offices are going to take place in three different buildings called, the Warehouse, the Workshop and the Loft. The biggest one is going to be the Warehouse with around 34.530m² slab-area. The Workshop with 2.070m² and the Loft with 2.960m² is standing nearby and directly at the Neukölner Schifffahrtskanal.

With our DELTABEAM® Composite Beams and bolted column connections the construction company BATEG GmbH was able to assamble with high-speed. The first DELTABEAM® was delivered in October 2021. The slab above underground was built with concrete slab in combination with DELTABEAM®, further floors with hollow-core-slabs. In total there were 5.700 meters DELTABEAM® delivered.

Due to the high spans of the slab-system of 7.2m x 11.0m, every up coming user is going to benefit from the high flexibility. The project is trying to get a LEED-certification of Platinum.
